Southern Croatian Islands

Beitragvon Srutl » Fr Mär 19, 2004 20:55

With this contribution I also want to invite non-german speaking herpetologists to utter their interests.
We also intend to translate our journey-reports to English and maybe we can build up bilateral workships in terms of herpetology as we already did with our Italian or German friends.

The second reason is the intention to enlarge the interest territory from the national to international areas.

After our journeys to Cres, Corfu and Italy we propose to travel to a souhern Croatian Island.

My question asks for the Herpetofauna of the Islands south of Split - who knows species occuring on the islands of

BRAC, HVAR, KORCULA, PELJESAC or MLJET

I could not get any information in literature

please bring some light in the dark! Thanks in advance!

I do have some lists but you may find it is better to put out an enquiry on a group that I run dedicated to Balkan Herpetofauna.
It is open to all serious herpetologists interested in the Balkans.
To join please visit

I am a herpetological conservationist in the UK with a specific interest in the herpetofauna of the Balkans. Unfortunately only fluent in English.

Hallo Freunde von Herpetofauna.Austria.
