Mine-suspect areas

Beitragvon Berus » Do Jul 28, 2005 13:42

For Konrad Mebert next week (regarding Velebit, Zadar)
and for everybody else interested:

MINE-SUSPECT AREAS in parts of Croatia most frequented by tourists

These are the known mine-suspect areas, not minefields.
The latter have either been cleared already or are very
conspicuously marked, so the few remaining minefields
should be much less of a problem. A mine-suspect area
is a real pest - one never knows for sure and is always
afraid...

(No, I don't have a more detailed map, only this one,
published in daily press after a foreign tourist had lost
his leg recently.)
