@ Muralis: Suit yourself. I only hope that you don't hate snakes for
eating frogs on a regular basis, i. e., mostly frogs, all their lives, and
eating them alive:

In contrast to that, I eat only prekilled animal food (i.e., I'm a scavenger,
not a predator), and I have tasted prekilled (and cooked) frog carrion only
three times in my life.

@ Mario: never mind frogs, but here's a further challenge,
not only for you, but especially for you. A true story:

Once upon a time my father and my grandfather went on a hiking trip
in the Velebit mountain range, and in the middle of nowhere they
chanced upon an encamped team of biologists and physicians. They
were writing a handbook on survival in nature, and were trying out
their own advices on themselves, deep in the wilderness and prior
to
finishing the book, which is only fair. At the moment they were just
preparing an ammodytes stew (Gulasch) for lunch, and my father and
grandfather were kindly invited to join them for the meal. However,
the two poor creatures suddenly realized that they were in a great
hurry to reach the next climbers' hut before nightfall, thanked their
hosts most heartily and sped away...
I wouldn't have refused the invitation. Would you?

And what about tasting (an already cooked!) ammodytes Gulasch
in the wilderness of the mountain, just for once in your life?

ammodytes-Gulasch? Hmm... - maybe in a desert before starving!

But for the moment the bigger problem for me is: how to find my first ammodytes, if possible in Austria...
